General Information
"Amber" Registered Thoroughbred Filly Y20 Born Bay 16.1hh |
Warheart is neurotic. Plain and simple. She's built like a tank and has ears the size of helicopter blades, and is perpetually worried about life. As much as she's talented, she's a pain in the ass and never shuts up. She has extremely bad separation anxiety and will scream bloody murder if you leave her sight for even 2 seconds. It doesn't matter if it's a horse or a person, she's always wondering where you went. The only way she'll calm down is if she has a buddy, or if that's not around, she has a giant life-sized teddy bear that sits in her stall to keep her company. It doesn't matter that the teddy bear doesn't move, as long as she can see it, she's happy. Amber's personality was a complete surprise for us, seeing as she is the polar opposite from her dam, who despised being around people and other horses all the time. Amber sweats extremely easily, stressful situation or not, so there's always a bucket of cool water near her at all times. Food isn't enough to distract the mare when she's in one of her moods, either. Throwing her in the paddock or on the walker is also another thing that helps her calm down, it gives her something to do and keeps her mind busy.

Racing InformationAmber is a complete workhorse when it comes to her job; it's all business with Warheart on race day. Amber needs a specific routine before her race and always needs the company of someone else. Luckily, there's lots of commotion around the farm on race day so she's always watching her surroundings. Amber becomes insanely focused when she steps onto the track; it doesn't matter what surface she runs on because she treats it the same no matter what. Amber is all grit and grind as soon as the gates open and settles comfortably in between horses near the rail. She runs exactly like her half-brother, Flight Deck, but is unique in her own way. It doesn't matter what post she breaks from, Amber's rider knows where to direct her to where she's most comfortable. Her large ears always have a mind of their own when she runs, which is quite amusing. Amber can be quite unassuming during a race, unlike her brother. A lot of people underestimate her because of her anxiety, but as soon as there's a gap in the field Amber is lasered in and on the prowl. She's a lot sneakier about her moves and before they know it, Amber is running alongside the rail and catches the front in no time. Once she's out in the open, Amber pulls forward and as if there was no competition, she finishes the race all alone out in front.
